Beyond the incredible hard work of the teachers and the visionary leadership of the school, Math ANEX's innovative approach was one of the driving forces behind the success story shown above. By prioritizing asset-based analysis of students' mathematical thinking, we were able to channel instructional resources with precision. We worked with teachers to implement action plans based on their students' unique ways of thinking, which helped unlock significant improvement in student learning. This showed up in state test scores in a major way — the percentage of students who met standards doubled in just two years!
